Sometimes life gives you everything and sometimes it takes away a lot of things from you.But there are some for whom life has always been a struggle. Some efforts are necessary to make their life better. In order to achieve this, Youth For A Causemade a visit to the NGO Earth Saviours Foundation on 17th March, 2012.The Earth Saviours Foundation is a recognized and registered NGO in India, founded on 16 January 2008, by Ravi Kalra , a Delhi Born well known social activist and environmentalist. The NGO is dedicated to serve underprivileged poor people and making every possible effort to protect our environment and habitat. It is located at Green Avenue Road, VasantKunj, New Delhi.
Approximately 125 underprivileged children are studying in the NGO's Agamyaschool. The members of the society decided to help the underprivileged children of the NGO with their academics by holding classes for children from nursery to 8th (for which we seemed to be miserably ill equipped). We mingled with the children well and also distributed sweets, biscuits and balloons among them. This was followed by playing kids games and the joy on their faces was inexplicable.
Also, the NGO runs an old age home for homeless and abandoned senior citizens. We also decided to sponsor a day's meal for 40 senior citizens. We had some warm conversations with the senior citizens. It was heart soothening to see a smile on their faces and knowing that we placed it there.
It gave us immense satisfaction to help the needy. We hope to achieve more such milestones where we can be of assisstance to the society and help the needy and underprivileged.
