Akshargyaan is a free education plan for unprivileged children lead by Mr. Harshit Gupta, College Coordinator (JSS) of Salaam Bharat, who is a hardcore Socialist.
This free education plan is run by students of JSS Academy of Technical Education, under the kind guidance of college management. In 2010, Youth for a Cause also became a part of this initiative. The YFAC members took their first step towards working for Children Rights by participating in this education plan that runs in the college campus. The members interacted with the Akshargyaan children and taught them how to use the humble newspaper to produce something useful, advocating YFAC’s Best Out of Waste policy.
It was a humbling experience to be amongst these children who are limited only in means but not in dreams and aspirations. To be even a minor part of this crusade is a motivating and inspiring experience.
